The aluminum part I don't have a problem with. It is a crappy design that the rockers fall off like they do. That sucks. That is what caused the carnage on the head in the picture.

Just a poor design that's for sure.

Take a look at this:

Does it look like the passenger side head oil gallery comes from one of the main bearings where the driver side head comes from the main oil gallery?

It sure looks that way

Maybe they were counting on the DP drop from that to equal the drop from the other with the return. DUNNO

The right side head has a problem with rocker arms falling off too. There is a restrictor in the MLS head gasket. I think I am going to enlarge the hole slightly to see if it helps.

Sure looks that way to me! I wonder why in the Sam blazes they would do that? Why on earth wouldn't you feed both heads from the main oil gallery so they get the same volume and pressure to them both? Another award winning design to Chrysler!

You get that truck back together yet or is that what brought on this question?

I have the drivers head on and torqued and the passenger head on and set to 20 lb-ft. I figured I would do a little looking before I put the head on about modifying the hole. I almost wonder if I could have gone bigger.

That would also explain why the motors have a tendency to drop the passenger side rocker arms.

It sure would! If there is insufficient flow or pressure to keep the lifters pumped up that would certainly do it.
