Some transmissions did not have fill tubes, if your does that's where to add it.

The dipstick tube IS the fill tube.

Are you checking the level with the trans warmed up and idling in park? If you have to add fluid use MERCON V.

I'm curious. Why not return it to whoever did the service and have them fill it, you paid.

Or is there a leak?

Please don't add oil until you measure it with the trans at operation temp, idling, in park. Not being rude, but if you don't know that you add fluid through the dipstick tube (which is why it's 3x the diameter of the engine oil dipstick tube) then you need to read the manual carefully before you start adjusting ANY fluid levels. Overfilling anything on the truck will certainly cause more problems than you are hoping to fix.

thanks guys. yes i did check it while it was at operating temps and in park. there is no leaks cause i crawled under the truck when i was looking for the filler tube and everything looked good. im thinking when they did the tranny service they forgot to add extra for the internal filter they replaced. i added a litre of mercon last night and it is still just under the c line on the stick. the reason i havent taken it back to the place that serviced it is due to im out of town working. good thing i checked it and addressing it cause i dont wanna pay 10k for a new tranny. i will be phoning them tommorrow and giving them a peice of my mind about this. and will be picking up another litre of tranny fluid to top it up

Replacing the internal filter doesn't take any additional fluid. When the pan is drained all the fluid runs out of the filter, too.
