Gotta pay to play...faster you want to go the more you have to pay...

Last truck was a Screw 8' bed 4x4 8000 lb diesel that cut 13s in the quarter. Lasted for a while anyway...

New one has got to stay stock...

I'm not gonna ever keep my trucks stock. I won't build myself right out of a cool street truck again. In California you can't do certain things and remain legal. The roush blower is not 50 state legal. I don't like it, but I have to follow the laws

Boss5.0, I have a question, what rear axle did you have when you ran the truck stock? Did you change gearing or anything on your current setup?
I just bought a 2011 regular cab 5.0 and it has the standard 3.31 axle

3.55 then and now.if you decide to change your gears.you MUST get your gears from ford, because the 2011 rear uses a different rear than other years.ford changed the bearing sizes.don't let ANYONE tell you different.we put gears in my brothers 20115.0 and what a pain in the *** finding all this out.new gears and bearing kit from ford $650. Ouch and that's not including shims witch must be bought one at a time.Ford doesn't sell shim kits. Now for the good news, one of my nephews has the 3.31's and cai, tune and a drag radial and he ran a 13.35@102 or 103 in his 2011f150 5.0.the trans is geared so good that's it's not as bad as you think.good luck

Did your nephew have a limited slip axle? Mine is just a standard, I would be happy running a limited slip and 3.31's since I can always run a shorter drag radial if I want to race at the strip
