There is none stock. You would have to go stroker to get those cubes.

That cid is only attainable with an aftermarket 427 block and a 4.25" stroker crankshaft. It will be an FE not FT also.

Why are you interested? Is there something we can help you with?

Jens, Might you be referring to the reverse image 105 on the front of your FE engine?? It is most likely a 360, but could be a 390, if that is the case.

I bet that's it John!

That's probably what's got him confused. Jens, is there are mirror 105 cast into the drivers side front of your block just beneath the head?

Hello folks,

thank you very much for your replys.
The story behind this engine is that a user from our Lincoln Forum found that engine and brought in home. He does'nt that kind of engine, he only know the 385 family, the 460 cid which is installed into his Mark IV.
I told him that it must be an FE or FT engine (indicated by pics) but he means that the castnumber indicates it as 501 cid. I told him the there is no 501 in any Ford V8. Than he send me an pic from a label which shows and engine displacment of 391 EHD 4V.

Any Idea what "EHD" means?

Thanks

Jens

I unfortunetely can add pic here, no Idea why

391 would be an FT medium duty truck engine. Not much value to anyone that doesn't have a medium duty truck, aside from the block. They can be used to build an FE.

Actually Ford had some 500 CID engines in their bigger trucks some years ago. Look here;

Nope, the 462 MEL engine was the biggest used in the Lincolns.
