OK , I am gonna install an AFE delete pipe (with bungs) on my Ford . along witht the DPF -R plus tune .
I have all new sensors to put in the pipe , including the pressure sensor , but it did not come with the fitting to screw into the bung .
anyone know what fitting is required or maybe a Ford part # ?
My thought is , if out on a road trip and you have some problem where the truck needs to go to a dealer , by having all the sensors in place you could return to the stock tune and the dealer tech would be able to diagnose as needed without the factory dpf pipe in place ....am I goofed up in my thinking there ?
and yes , I know there won't be any factory warranty ..
I am keeping the dpf/cat pipe intact , along with the sensors , if I ever do need to return completely to stock .
fitting is a dealer part dont know te number. you can go to the parts counter and ask the counterperson to pull a picture of the dpf/doc assembly. its should pull that way.
I bought a brass barb fitting at home depot, I believe it was 5/16x1/4 but I'm not sure? it worked perfect, they are cheap so you can buy a few to try....
