So I have read a lot of people have broken the DPF pressure sensor barb when removing from the DPF to install in the delete pipe....what did you guys use?
Better use a 6pt Line Wrench
The front 3 sensors came out easy for me,
But the rear one behind the filter was terribly
Tight.
I had to use a cheater pipe & it still distorted
The hex nut with the 6pt wrench.
Maybe I shoulda heated it up first
I'm just worried about the DPF pressure sensor, the other 3 are just egt sensors, I have spares for those. I was just curious if anyone had just used a threaded barb fitting and if so what size?
Which one is the pressure sensor? The one that won't come out is the one aft of the DPF. I just bought a new one and used in the delete pipe. If you have Spartan or Black Max, they don't use the sensors.
I am in the same boat as when I tried to remove my barbed fitting my snapped off and the dealer wants $80! and that employee pricing. Right now mine is just blowing into the pressure sensor until I figure out what's next.
I mean the one that wont com out, i just need to know what size the threaded part is, I dont even want to try and get it and have it break.......
I'm not a 100% on this but I think it's the same size as the others. I just did the delete a month or so ago and I'm pretty sure the bungs are all the same size.
guys do yourselfs a favor and just leave that fitting in the pipe, fo to the ford house and buy a new fitting. thoses things are a nightmare to get out.
