Leaf spring bushings?

Hey guys, I own a 96 bronco full-size, 5.0, xlt sport. Now on to the issue. The front leaf spring hangers in the back rotted out, thank you Western new York salt, anyways I got new hangers and hardware and bushings, cut all the old stuff out, had to burn the old bushing out. Well went to install everything and the bushings I got are the wrong size for my leafs, checked with multiple different parts store and everyone has the same part. And I've physically checked to make sure. So now what? Was there two different leaf packs offered? Does anyone have a part number? Thanks guys and girls!

There are 2 different part numbers. The front and rear bushings are different sizes. Look it up on oreilly/advance/autozone whatever you have there. Moog Part Numbers SB336 and SB 344. The bigger ones go in the front. If it is the front one you want SB344.

The parts store guys don't know their product at all these days. I needed a centering pin for my leaf spring and they all said "That's not a parts store part." Until I walked in there with a part number and showed them how stupid they were.

You put the weight of the truck down on it? Those are correct part numbers.

This problem is real familiar - someone else here had the same problem maybe 6 months ago. Do a search here in the Bronco forum for it.

Edit - Time flies, was longer than 6 mos. ago. This is the one I was thinking of:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-problems.html

There is more info on this problem if you do an advanced search for: Leaf Spring Bushing here in the Bronco forum.
