Question about turbo
1997 ford f-superduty 7.3 diesel
can I cap off the waste gate valve delete it and make it no longer there.
Would the check engine light come on.
would it mess the motor up.
would it mess the truck up.

Weird...ive heard this many times, but while running tests with a snapon solarus i swear i hear it go to waste.

There is no OEM wastegates. But someone could've added one....not sure why though on a stock truck.

the exhaust valve for the turbo like a throttle body what would happen if you took it out deleted make the devil go away

Are you talking about the EBPV? You can delete it. Do a EBPV delete search. Many have done it.

Diesels dont have throttle bodies. What your seeing is the EBPV, and yes you can delete it.

He was saying that it looks like a throttle body. And it pretty much does. Not in location or anything, but the valve itself.

That must be exactly what I heard...the ebpv. Its like a exhaust brake but for warm up?

You can turn it into an exhaust brake. Other than that its supposed to help on cold start ups. For most of us it's just another place that leaks oil
