Hey guys. I dont know if this topic has been disscused but I'm getting ready to replace my door hinge pins in my 96 Bronc to get rid of my door sag. It's at the point of having to lift the door to close it. I orderd a repair kit for it with new pins and brass bushings.... whats the easy way of removing the old pins? Thanks in advance for and advice given

Now I know a mustang isn't the same as a bronco, but I had the sagging issue as well, except mine was the welds onn the hinges. Anyways the way i did it was using a jack and a block of wood under the door and ever so slightly lifting it then pulling the bottom pin, the top one you might want another set of hands if possible cause i'm sure the door will be heavy. As for getting the pins out i think there is a cotter pin on the bottom or a C clip or something, fairly easy to do but it is awkward with the door and holding it steady.
Not real sure it is possible or worth it on a 96. Also I have never done this but I have to replace mine on my 81 so I have been thinking. Take the speaker wires and whatever else off the door remove the brackets from the body and then lay the door down on a clean towel or piece of cardboard. Take the other side of the bracket off the door and put it in the vise and use a drimel and punch. It is just a suggestion. I tried on my dad's 97 f-250 and I remember it was difficult to get the right angles.
