The driver's side door is hard to close on my truck. There is slack when I lift on the door when its open. I know the pins are replaceable but it seems there is a bushing in there too. Are they replaceable or just the pin? Any tips on replacement or is it pretty straight forward? I have found the pins for sale but not the bushings.
I just did this on mine and the door is way worse. I have realigned it 20 times and it just won't line up. I think it's going to the body shop next week. They'll probably get it done in 10 minutes. Pretty frustrating.

How did the alignment change with just replacing the pins and bushings?
You can do one hinge pin at a time . lift the door for the lower , lower it for the upper. You can use reddy rod , 2 nuts & a couple washers to install the bushings..No realignment needed this way .
By taking off the door and putting it back on. I removed it to cut off the old pins.
Here is a you tube video guy may help a little.
I don't like the strap that he used, but this is how to get the pin out with out removing the door hinge from truck .You can use a milk crate under the door with some towels or blanket to hold the door while working on it. You don't have to take the hinge off the door but it does make it easy to install the bushings I would take a scribe around it so you know were to reinstall it. I might put some masking tape on the edge of the fender and the face of the door so if you bump it it will not hurt the paint.
