Registered and changed the title over in August. Last week I realized I haven't gotten it. Started looking at the paper work and they put the wrong address on it. Went down to the neighbor that had that address to see if he had it and he acted like I was trying to sell him a dead cat. So i go back to the title place and find out I have to go to a different place to get their mistake corrected. I fight the traffic over there fill out a novel of paper work. Then after a hour they call my number, I tell the lady what happened and she then tells me I didn't need to fill out all those papers and she puts them in the shredder, then tells me I owe them $5.00 to correct their mistake. I now have a title for my"49 and an ulcer from their BS! Sorry just had to vent. Thanks for all the great advice on here!
I had a little problem with my title because the number on the frame was not stamped correctly the first two letters were suppose be FI but the bottom of the I was not stamped so they will not title the truck with the FI marking like it should be instead it is titled FT.

I take it you don't have a tag on the glove box door or attached to the firewall?
No the truck was lost half way through body restoration 20years ago and both plaques got lost. Does not bother me I love my truck. It has gone through 4 people until I picked it up last week.

The funny part about all that is it's not really an I, it's a 1, and that's the symbol Ford used for the number 1. If your inspectors were any kind of knowledgeable, they would have known that. Sad.
I hate working with government, never seems to go smoothly. I have little patience for the hassle and tend to get a little loud when having to deal with them.
