What year is your truck. Always put that in posts until you can make a signature.
I'm new as well and just ordered JC Whitney's Pacer Performance cab lights (OEM style). However mine do not come with a harness. I imagine you purchased the actual lights and harness from Ford. How much did the parts set you back?? I think mine came to about $54 with free shipping. If I don't have a harness should I run it through a switch or just run it off the parking light wire?? If I do it to the parking light wire is that too much of a draw?
The package I got came with the lights and harness and it was about 90 bucks for everything. Then I got silicone II to seal the lights better, which was about 6 bucks.
You have to remove a push-in clip that's near the floor behind the parking brake pedal.
You can see the round post for the clip in the middle of the pic below. And you can see the clip beside my meter in the second pic below.
Once you pull that clip out, you just pull the kick panel straight back toward the rear of the truck. Not inward toward the transmission tunnel, straight back.
