I have an oil leak at the back of the motor. I think it is the ebpv rod, I see that you can tap the hole for 1/4 npt. is that hole the right size or do you need to drill it out to a different size? can the oil leak be stopped without gutting the pedestal? like with replacing an o-ring?
Provided your bore is true, it could work. Mine wasn't and the kit didn't help. Only a new pedestal would work in that case. Provided they didn't rush the QC thru that day when they inspected the bore, that is.
Most guys have had good luck rebuilding theres. I intend to do the one I have for my upgrade to l99. Going to do it tonight. Install still mit be a while but its straight forward.
Clean it up good with one of those green pad used in the kitchen and it will be fine.

What's the pros and cons regarding the ebpv delete?
If you did the 1.15 housing and deleted the EBPV, you would be freeing up some restriction and relieve yourself of some of the "When my truck is stone cold, it seems to have a lack of power and a loud hissing noise" question.
Cons are that it won't warm up the engine as fast as the engineers designed it to and you might be dumping more pollutants out, unlike what the engineers had designed, till the thing warms up, that is.
So if you delete it, do you unplug the sensor in the front the motor. the one everyone cleans out. I guess that becomes useless I f you delete the valve.

No. I believe somebody talked to DP-tuner and they were told that the ECM does use it for fueling purposes
