Vacuum Pump Pully Removal

I’m switching out the vacuum pump on my '99 E-350. I have the new pump and the old pump is off but I cant seem to get the pulley off the old shaft. I am assuming that the threads in the shaft are to press the pulley on to the shaft and that the pulley should come off with a puller but it is not budging. I have a three pronged gear/pulley puller that I am using and have tried penetrate and heat on the pulley from a MAPP gas torch. Is their some other "trick I should try"? How much pressure from the puller can the pulley take before I damage it?

Got it off; seems the "trick" might have been to bring it in fro out side and put some real wrenching on it. Right now I'm going to try heat to put the pulley on the new pump. I have the pulley in the oven and the pump in the freezer. I’m not sure that about 600 degrees will make enough of a difference so I'm looking for a bolt and washer to use also does anyone happen to know the size off the threads inside the pump shaft?

The almost 550 degree difference between the pulley in the oven and the Pump in the freezer worked like a charm the pulley slid right onto the shaft. Now I don't care what size the treads are.
