problem with vin. number
I having trouble with the vin. number that is on my fire wall tag. I have a 79 f-150 4x4 that I just bought. Was trying to get some info on it throught the vin. The vin that is on the title has only 11 numbers, ant the tag has 16. Every time I try and type eiother one in, it keeps telling me I need 17 digits. Can anyone help me with this.

the vin should only have 11 digits. are you using the vin decoder on this site? if so, are you putting 1971-1980 in the year range box?
