First three characters indicate series/model (ex: F10=F100)
Fourth (letter) indicates engine: A=6cyl-240cu in, D=8-352, E=8-361, F=8-391, G=8-302, H=8-390, Y=8-360 (note here: letter/engine assignments vary on later years)
The rest indicate assembly plant & prodution sequence...

Hope this helps.

Btw, what specifically are you trying to determine?

F26 = F250 4x4 Reg cab
Y = 360 2v
C = Ontario Truck Plant (Oakville Ontario Canada)
A76400 - Consecutive build number = Build in November 1975

FOYPF90070

This should be: F10YPF90070

F10 = F100
Y = 352
P = Twin Cities Mn
F90070 =

Something don't sound right. The Y indicates 352 but only if its a 67. Not sure what the Y indicates if its later than 67. But the serial number F90070 is not 67. 67's were from A00000 to B81999.

In '69 they used the "Y" to mean 360 and the F90070 also sounds like a '69 production number. Mine is: F13*** built in April '69.
