Chip Install question, need some help

Im trying to put my 6 pos chip in and maybe its just me but im lost trying to follow these instructions. Seems like some steps are skipped. I have the pcm out and now it says to removve the parking brake assembly to give me room to access the switch assembly then put the pcm back in....doesnt say anything about running the switch anywhere and doesnt say how. Im kind of lost.

Best thing to do is pull the brake. Put the chip in with switch and run a piece of duck tape across the back. Then feed the switch assembly through as you put the pcm back in. After the pcm is back in put the brake back on and make sure not to pinch the wire. Mount the switch and your good to go.

How does pulling the brake give you more room?

Gets you to the back of the pcm a whole lot easier for 3 bolts

Yes to the above but the first step of taking out the PCM is to clean the contacts but don't over clean them!

Some of mine are down to copper and I haven't had a problem. I've read that you can go to far though. If his banks worked, I don't see a problem.
