Chip extension cord

I would like to move my chip to a more reachable position.
Sometimes I need to remove the chip, so an extension cord of some sorts would be nice to have.
Instead of popping the hood and wrenching it out everytime.

What is the name of the male and female connectors needed?

Tried google for J3, 15 pin circuitboard connector, and more. But nothing

I don't know of any kind of extension cord.

It's a j3 port

To remove the chip all you have to do is remove the parking brake assembly and pull the chip. Ten mins. tops

Now that I've done it a hundred times (not really), I agree with Mike, ten minutes!

The only longer cord type ive seen is the switch that you can mount into a gauge pod. if i recall its longer than the wire and switch most the chips come with, but i may be wrong.

It's a Van, and it takes longer than 10 minutes

PCM is located in firewall above accelerator pedal. Access is from engine side, on left side of brake master cylinder.
But I need help of an extra person to hold the nuts inside the van, when i loosen/fasten the bolts from the engine side

If i could get the male and female connectors, i could use a flat ribbon cable as extension cord.

Ts6 that I have is pretty long. It's mounted directly under the steering column. No problems. Don't know of any extension.

Sounds like you need to have a stock tune burned onto your chip to correct this issue.

My chip is a fixed, baked in plastic thing with gold metal cap.
No switch. 100 Hp all the time.

At the moment i'm running without it, and overtaking is no longer an option

These burned things with a 6 position switch, can they be switched on the fly?

Are these really difficult to install? I am good with straight mechanical stuff, but electrical always freaks me out. I am looking at getting one pretty soon. Thanks!

Not hard at all Byron, #1 thing is don't rub off the silver coating on the PCM contacts, just the plastic coating. Don't ask me how I know this! LOL
