IC spider pipe Question

I am trying to find a spider pipe for my '96 f250 7.3 I have rounded up all the other parts I need except the spider pipe and I think I found one now off a '99 ( the production code of the truck is 01-1998 will this one work on my '96?) I know I need an early '99. How can I tell if it will work? Can I just measure the opening where it connects to the turbo housing? what is the size I am looking for or is there a code to look for

It should work, measure where it connects to each side to the intake plenums, it should be 2 3/8". The late 99's and up are 3"

It's coil of wire that goes in the front of the intake y on the cold side of the y pipe. But hardly ever operates and is a huge restriction. What the SD guys call AIH delete.

And if you want to supply the hot air let me get a video camera.

I was going to say Geroge should supply the hot air but he hasn't had much of a sense of humor lately. OK, here comes the hot air, got the camera ready Jeffery? Oh, and thanks for the info, don't the cummins also use hot air?

Yea they have a grid heater where the intake horn goes onto the block. They have no glow plugs though.
