Prolonging Coolant Flush
Sooo... My waterpump is leaking. But I spent the money for the new pump on an electrocardiograph and pharmacology class..

They are both my obsession and love.
I have heard that I can add distilled water to the coolant to give me more fluid to hold me off.
Will this be acceptable for up to a month or more?

Yes, depending on how bad the leak is. Also, you weaken the concentration, but being in SoCal, and depending on how weak your coolant concentration is right now, it shouldn't be a problem.

Why can't you just the 50/50 version of the coolant you have in your truck now and just top off with that? I know it is a few bucks more but your not diluting your coolant.

Tell you what, Trey...I got a brand new Airtex on the shelf, for my buddys' truck, to install into, however, he is by far, ready for it, to be installed. I'll let you have it, and when the times right with cash for ya, just send it my way?...i'm ALWAYS in the Lahabra/Whittier area, bud.
