radiator swap

changing my radiator in my 94 ranger 4.0L manual trans to a rad for a auto trans. Other than the fan shroud and lower radhose is there any other parts that should be changed

Probably change the upper rad hose too and use new antifreeze. If you have a clutch fan make sure it works good and is in good condition. Also check the condition of the serpentine belt. If your thermostat has been in there a long time maybe now would be a good time to change it too.

rad change follow up

Thanks for the reply I did a cooling system flush, checked top hose. It is new condition, thermostat changed last year. Washed rads out before reinstalling. I changed coolant out with the new ford antifreeze(yellow colour, Zerex G-05). It has additives that help keep the aluminum that may be in the system in good condition and stop the formation of sludge that can build up in the cooling system. I took it for a good run with my quad and equipment loaded and hit some big hills and loaded it up good and the temp gauge barely moved as compaired to the old single core manual trans. radiator.
