Alternator Rebuild?
My new NAPA Chinese alternator number two just died. The first one lasted 70 miles. The warranty replacement lasted about 8K and the rear bearing came apart. Where can I get quality bearings to fix this alternator? I can't find a number. I want to replace the front and rear bearings as well as the slip rings. Thanks for any help. PK

Alright here is one place.. They sell some parts, but not all the parts inside the alt. They also sell 160amp versions for a fair price. I got my alt on my F-150 from here and I'm pretty happy with it so far. Link to alt parts-

I prefer to buy from RJM Injection when I can b/c he is a fellow Ford owner and has done quite a bit for us in the Ford truck gasser world.

-BEST thing to do provided you ARE NOT stranded somewhere away from home is to have your KNOWN ORIGINAL rebuilt by a local home town type auto electric shop.
These can usually be done in a day and they CAN upgrade them at the same time, and usually cheaper than a Chineese POS replacement.
