CEL Codes

just purchased my own OBD2 scan tool....innova3130, over 60% off of list price couldn't resist

here are my codes

P0305 - CYLINDER 5 MISFIRE
P0174 - SYSTEM TO LEAN (BANK 2)
P0306 - CYLINDER 6 MISFIRE
P1288 - CYLINDER HEAD TEMP OUT OF SELF TEST RANGE
P1464 - A/C DEMAND OUT OF SELF TEST RANGE.

i have replaced all the plugs bought from the dealer, now i am thinking the misfires are due to the coil packs

any other ideas ... please list them...

I picked up the 3160 earlier this year off of Amazon.com for a sweet price. I've got a websight that will give you a good deal of knowledge on obdII codes: http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/. Hope that helps.

my appoligies, 2000 expedition eddie bauer 5.4L

i would think that CEL codes would not get a response under should i go with a magnaflow cat or a oem cat.

It is very hard to follow you....you're in 10 threads on various topics and now you are mixing your questions and responses among them.

Starting at the bottom:

When you scan the engine, you should have the HVAC system turned off.
And the engine should be at normal operating temperature.

You probably have a small vacuum leak on bank 2, which may be causing the misfires on that bank.

Can your scan tool pull up the 'freeze frame' data?
