V10 Excursion Exhaust

I was thinking of replacing the stock muffler with a magnaflow ultraflo...has anyone had experience with that setup? Will it sound ok..if not, what do others recommend for a cat-back setup?

Depends on how loud you want it. If you like loud go for a Flowmaster 40 series. If you want something just a little louder than stock go with a Flowmaster 70 series, or a Gibson. The one thing that bugs me about the aftermarket cat back systems is they are 3 inches in diameter, just like the factory pipe. So why replace a 3 inch pipe with a 3 inch pipe ? In fact some folks just change the muffler. I did notice Flowmaster makes a 3.5 inch cat back system for the diesels. To me that would gain performance since you are increasing the size of the pipe. In fact the 3.5 inch diesel system is cheaper $245.00 than the one for the V-10 $289.00.

Sorry I have no experience with the MagnaFlow muffler.
