From this site ... 97-15A 7.3L DI Turbo Workshop Manual

0236 = Detected high boost signal at low idle. (Restricted MAP line.) (Inrange Fault).

0344 = Incorrect number of sync to transition counts detected, possible intermittent CMP sensor/circuit fault

If no CEL now then clear codes .. probably old ones.

Where is this supply tube located? I have got that code befor also. I think that this hose is pluged and not letting my ebpv operate. Is that possible?

I'm thinking the P0236 is a restricted exhaust supply hose. Watching my exhaust back pressure the gauge is slow to response to what the truck is actually doing. I think I'll pull and clean the metal line going to the sensor.

The truck has completely died all at once a few times making me think the cps may have thrown the P0344.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll fix these couple of things and clear the codes.

Yes. I think thats whats happening to me. It's very common on these rigs. It's the small steal line that runs up the front of the motor on the pass side to the exhaust pressure sensor. Gets all plugged up with carbon or rusts in half.

Ok thanks. I think i found the line. It is the one that goes from the exhaust manifold to a sensor that mounts on a bracket on top of the hpop. Is this correct?

That's the one! I was able to clean mine out with some compressed air, brake cleaner, and a piece of 1/8 aircraft cable in the chuck of my cordless drill. Just be sure you run the drill in the right direction or it will just take the twist out of the cable and you won't get anywhere.
