i know that ive been on here before talking about swapping out motors in my 2001 f250 before, i have since changed my mind yet again. im thinking about just rebuilding the 5.4 that is in it or buying a crate motor and dropping that in. i was talking to the guys where i get all my parts and they were saying i could get a crate motor for around 2500. does this sound right?
also around how much could i expect for a rebuild? im thinking new rods and pistons at the very least and blueprinting the entire rotating assembly.
either way i go i was planning on while the motor was out putting time-serts into every cylinder so i never have the issue of spark plugs shooting out again.
also i was considering some power adders like new cams and headers and a tuner.
all told what can i expect to run for price
