Gauge Temp's ??

Now that i have my gauges installed. Where about should they be running ?

So far i have only driven about a five mile loop.
#1, My boost is at 0 idle and go's to about 17 WOT. No load
#2, My EGT run's about 200 idle and about 1000 WOT, No load, short run.
#3, Trasn temp. Has not moved yet. Starts at 100.
I ran the TF on the Dash gauge at the same time. It never got to 100.
I guess i need a longer drive to warm up the trans..

So what is the limit i should be looking for on the EGT ?

I think im maxed on the boost with everything totally stock.
I believe That 280 on the trans is the danger zone..

15-17 psi boost is right for stock tuning, 1250 on the EGT is when you should start thinking about backing out of it, during the winter my trans guage doesnt move unless Im pulling or playing really hard, 100 degrees above ambient air temp. for the trans is usually a rule of thumb but there was a good thread about this not too long ago Ill see if I can find it for you

Phil- This time of year when it is cooler out I have to run mine about 25 miles b4 I even register any temp above 100*. With 50* outdoor temp, this is not towing. My Isspro trans temp sender seems very slow to react, just installed a new sender thinking it was bad but the new one acts the same as the old one did.

280 will fry your trans if left that way. 220 is about max. I hit that going up a hill in wyoming at ten to twenty mph at twenty degrees out side with stock cooler on my e99. Been doing it for years but didn't know it till guages were installed. With 6.0L cooler, which sounds like you have, and JW trans I've never seen over 168 pulling 30 toy hauler loaded in summer in Calif. Chet
