Wish you lived close I would help, instead of just armchair quarterback...

no its all good...ill take any input i can...I call my prybar "tiny" its about 4ft long and 1" round works well!!...i jacked it up from the frame and axle since i had to check the ball joints and tie rod ends...

I had the same issue and I tested the balljoints as well without any movement. It wasn't until I replaced the balljoints did the clunk go away. I'm thinking that there was just enough play in them to cause the clunk but not enough for me to see it four feet away when using the pry-bar to test them.
