Got the same problem with the clunk. It started in parking lots going over drainage ways and speed bumps (mostly when turning). Now its a couple months later and its ANY bump, turn or no turn. By the sound of it, you would think it would be really easy to find.
you would be surprized what a small jack and a large pry bar will help you find it

Reason: spelling
Ni just tightened down the U bolts, stabilizer end bolts and lubed (with spray on bearing lube) all the joints. Nothing was particularly loose, but NO clunk. Go figure.
My truck was just aligned a few months ago, o imagine they would not have been able to align it if the ball joints were bad? That combined with all the mew parts and bushings I've put in over the last year and im stumped. Almost sounds like the axle banging around inside the hub, but they are brand new hubs....
Maybe you don't know what you know........
In your photo of the front spring hanger mount from the angle of the photo you can't see the spring eye bushing. On that end of the spring the top leaf has the bushing in it's eye and the second leaf has the air space shown in your photo as it wraps around the top leaf's eye. The bushing is only in the top leaf's eye, centered around the bolt thats in the top right of the photo, inside the mounting bracket. Nothing in that photo looks abnormal.
Not trying to bust your stones, just trying to help. My EX's frontend clunks also, I'm still looking.
Ur rite...thanks for the info...iam still gunna replace the front leaf spring bushings just to no I did them and make sure its not coming from those bushings
Not to be smart, but just to be sure, you did jack from the frame. If you jack the axle you will just be checking the wheel ends. Also the size of the prybar must be enough to overcome the weight of the axle wheels tires and suspention componants.
Again just trying to help, Mark
Wish you lived close I would help, instead of just armchair quarterback...
