TUNING HELP

hey guys, i have a 1989 f150, 5.0, 5 speed, i swapped in a roller 5.0 with a small lunati efi cam, and it ran ok but not great so i converted it to mass air with a ecm and air intake off of a 95, truck runs great now except i
have a check engine light on, which is from the ecm not seeing the 4r70w, is there anybody who can burn me a chip to delete the transmission codes
from the ecm?

the ecm not seeing the tranny shouldnt have any affect on how it performs.

you need to see if your ecu is tuneable first and then call some dyno shops near you to have them turn that off.

What are the codes you are getting? I think it is possible to be tripping codes as the '95 is expecting to see sensors from 4r70w and he has a manual transmission. Also, what is the box code on the eec? It will be something like bug2, hog2 or something to the like.

its a bug2, i know i have the transmission codes for the 4r70w, i think it is 6 codes for the that, i also have the tad and tab faults also cause i deleted them cause i dont have any cats and the smog pump was shot, but it was like that when i got the truck, there are no shops around my area that i know of that can do that...

well you can start by plugging in the TAB/TAD sensors. the vacum lines dont need hooked up. did you delete the egr also? get that hooked back up.

once you have done that you should be fine. again the tranny not being there wont affect the motor according to the computer.

guys do auto e4od to manual swaps all the time and keep the same computer.

the egr i did not delete it is still hooked up, i would hook the sensors up but when i added the injector harness i deleted the plugs for the tad and tab, the truck runs great no other faults, i just dont like my check engine light on, and i dont want to pull the bulb because i perfer to have a working check engine light

i didnt cut the harness i just depinned the wires from the harness all together, and removed the factory injector harness and added a mustang injector harness and added the nessiscary wires at the 60 pin connector
when i added the 95 f150 ecm in the truck, i really didnt want to but the tweecer or quarterhorse because im not sure if im keeping the truck but i do like to have my stuff fixed correctly if you know what im saying. but thanks again ill contact them and see if they can help me out

why not get an ecm from a 95 5.0/M5OD mass air rig? that will eliminate the CEL regarding not seeing the tranny. but of course you will still have the issue of no TAB/TAD sensors. might be cheaper to add that wiring back then and plug those sensors in.
