Excel 2007
I'm doing a simple spreadsheet for medical expenses. Suddenly when I save it, Excel starts whining that it "MAY contain acitve X components, XML expansion packs, some crap about the web ..none of which can be detected by document inspector ( whatever that is)"
Of course the help sends me through a series of odd articles only vaguely relating to my issue. I did note that there are privacy options enabled in strange and arcane ways. There was talk of killbits and other odd things.
Anyway, I just wanted to know if there was a way to find these items. I DID NOT intentionally put any of them in. There are no web links, macros, or active x controls unless I fat fingered one of those odd shortcuts that sometimes exist.
Anybody know anything about this warning?
Thanks,
hj
Try typing all, or at least part of the exact message into a Google search, and put quotes around it. This will pull up pages that have the exact error message spelled out, if anyone else has run into the issue. This can point you to information on where the error comes from and how to deal with it.
