Funny to get one of these in the mail on credit card thick and glossy plastic. I'm guessing they'll shoot me $4K for my old 'Scursion... $3K off a $28K 'scrape or $5.5K off a 'lil Ranger (maybe I could have Tim turn it into a mini Ex?).
I got plenty of them including calls from my selling dealer to trade my truck in for a newer one from 2003 up until 2008. By then they figured out that my 7.3 Excursion will stay in my driveway where it belongs...
I once had a guy follow me into my driveway trying to convince me to trade in my X for a "vehicle better suiting my needs". I told him the only trade I'd make is even up on a new F350 4X4 CC. Then he left?!
We've gotten these for both Excursions, and both from dealers who have serviced both, not the one the '05 was bought new from. All of the cards have said how valuable my Excursion is and how much they'd like to take it in on trade for top dollar paid.
A couple years ago, I went to one of the dealers because I had a question for the parts department anyway, so I sat down with a salesman. When they started talking four digit numbers, I told them to take a hike, and he couldn't understand why. At least I got the wiring diagram I needed out of it all.
I went to a Dodge dealer to do a test drive for a $50 Visa gift card for a auto show promotion last spring. After the test drive I was really surprised at the "offer" the salesman had on the table, considering he didn't even drive my X (not that I would let him anyway). I could have traded my X and $12,000 for a 2010 Ram 2500 4X4 Crew cab. I was shocked at how far he was willing to go! Shoulda seen the look on his face when I told him it wasn't enough!
if ford had something comparable it might be worth the time, but with out a diesel option in their current suv line up, definitely not going to fit my needs.
I don't normally say this to a guy but yeah, I like his bumpers too.
