When rebuilding a 7.3 should you use new head bolts?

i would but thats just me. im gonna rebuild for more power though so im still in the debate over new head bolts (Victor Reinz) or studs (ARP) if the victor rienz bolts will hold up to 15lbs boost then i'll probably go with them..... there 70 bucks from autozone

new bolts are always recommended, as they usually stretch a little while being installed. but that said, some people have successfully used the same set of bolts 3 or 4 times. i consider the cost of redoing the whole job compared to the cost of new bolts and usually choose new bolts

Actually if you are doing a stock rebuild there's no need, these are not a torque to yield head bolt like are used in some engines these days.

If, on the other hand, you are looking to upgrade, add a turbo, etc, then it's well worth it to consider a set of studs while you're at it.

Only TTY (torque to yield) bolts need to be replaced, such as the ones used in 6.0s. Youll be fine with reusing them
