flat rad hose

1989 f150 5.0.

Rebuilt engine, changed it from elec to carb. Runs great but every time rev up engine outlet coolant hose goes flat. Also, left side rad(looking under hood) is hot but right cool??

Stuck t stat??

using serpintine system same year pump belts on as per sticker. Thought i got that wrong.

Any suggestions ????? Thanks

Weak hoses....may need to build a spring insert to go into the hoses or modify with aluminum or copper tubing.

Might also have a partial obstruction in radiator

Just a shot in the dark here. I don't know what year, but later models w/serpentine belt used a reverse rotation water pump. If you reused same pump, disregard this. I've had an air pocket do this also.
