We need to know if you actually have the PSI , it could be a false reading . may only be what the PCM is calling for ...

Well my hpop gauge on my pillar splices into the harness by the ipc. Which is consistent w the scanner. But thats assuming the icp is reading correctly. Maybe Il see if I can get a mechanical gauge on the head for it.

Also. The hpo plug inthe head I loosened and turned the motor over. Oil came out. I don't know if it necessarily sprayed out. But I didn't want to have it too loose.

Yup. Put a gauge off the pass side head and have plenty of oil pressure . I'm not sure what else to look at

well this prolly wont do the trick, but since it should be done anyways, i took the fuel bowl off for a good cleaning, and put new o rings in the ipr. Where do i get the blue high temp fuel line, mines all dry rotted and figured i should replace it while the bowl is out.

Just go get some SAE 30R9 rated (some places call it fuel injection rated) hose. A foot of 5/16 and a foot of 3/8 will be more than enough. Top it off with 6 "fuel injection style" hose clamps (they use a bolt instead of a worm screw and don't cut the hose) and you're good to go.

I see your still no start. Mines hit and miss I can't figure it out

One thing I'm curious about your situation if you have hit it with ether and it won't hit a lick something seems not right
With ether I would think your replacing the fuel source and it Wouldnt matter it anything electronic was working if it had compression should it not have done something?

i didn't hit it that much, just a little snort, it was enough to take the load of the starter for a couple seconds. i suppose if i kept spraying it would of, though ether prolly isnt really a good replacement fuel source, and prolly combusts at a lesser compression ratio. i gave it enough to start if i was actually getting diesel in the cylinders.

I wouldn't think so, since it passed the buzz test. but il try it anyways, im open to any suggestion right now.

I would like to swap pcms if i can find one, all i have is one from a 94.5 5 speed. it may not be able to drive or run right, but if the pcm is the problem, would the 94,5 at least work to start my 97? or will my chip work in the 94.5 pcm, then it would at least have the correct programming.

this has got to be something simple dumb that i just cant figure out. idk...

don't know anything to help you, Just that on a IH 1066 diesel Farm Plow tractor that won't run, I gave it a quick shot of ether in a removable plug in the intake and It Fired up and ran for 3 seconds, SO IT DON"T TAKe much, also depends how close to the chambers you get it I guess.
