2009 XL Odometer Lights Issue
So, last night I jumped in my truck and when i turned the lights on, my entire dash lit up (normal) except for my digital odometer screen (lower right hand corner). There was a small light at the bottom of the rectangle, but nothing was illuminating the screen.
I screwed around with the dimmer switch, interior lights, ACC and other Ignition Functions but couldn't get it to work again.
I did a search for "Dash" and "Dash Lights", but couldn't find anything.
Has anyone ever had this happen or have any ideas of cause and fix?

I suspect you've dislodged a connector on the back of the cluster. If the screen isn't "lighting up", it's not a burned out bulb or something - the screen isn't getting power.
Perhaps you should consider keeping all 4 tires on the ground?

He said "jumped in my truck". That's pretty clear to me. The truck didn't jump nor was it jump-started. He got into his truck. If he's not supposed to do that I don't know what our trucks are for.

unless he sits down harder than most, i'm not sure that would be the root cause of a connector coming loose.
not to say that a connector couldn't have come loose in the 110k miles.... probably worth a check.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. My side hurt from laughing at the idea of me launching my truck.
Ok, anyways. Dislodged bulb sounds super legit. Due to Illinois being pot-hole central of the lovely mid-west, that easily could be the culprit.
Just to play it safe, i'll be sure not to sit down too hard in my truck next time haha.
