I need to raise the front of my 99 F450 DRW mason dump. I have a 800lb plow setup on it. Is using a add a leaf the way to go or are there other options I should consider?
F450 come standard with the 6000lb front springs, if yours are sagging that bad i would either go to a spring shop and have them make a new spring pack, or have them make you a add a leaf for the front
On the tag in the driver's door jamb. I thought f450s came stock with w code (5600) front springs but could be wrong. As stated above, if you have a local spring shop they'd prolly be a great place to start. I priced new X code springs for the front of my truck from the dealer. Shop cost was about $175ea.
i thought they had 6k springs stock? either way he's loaded prob ally ever day and I'm sure the stock springs are gone anyways. Go to a local spring shop, they can build you exactly what you need at less than have the price of the overpriced stock ones.
