Anyone have the Beans Idm mod done on their truck? Is it basically the 140 mod? Would I have to re-tune for this would you think? For 100$ it seems like a no-brainer I would think, unless you don't want the trhottle response. What's your input?
they say most super duty guys wont be able to tell the difference. its mostly for the 95-97 crowd.....ive asked acouple guys and they have all said the difference is very very minute.......
I would think you if have the 110 you will notice a little, with tuning I don't know if it would be as significant. Have you considered the Swamps, High Voltage, High Frequency? Here is some information on what was accomplished. High-Performance IDMs by Swamp's Diesel Performance
I'm thinking my IDM isn't keeping up with the rest of my mods. That's why I'm considering this mod. Have another thread going about my truck acting like its flooding out or stumbling sometimes. Either IDM or get my airdog installed.
I doubt thats your IDM, it pretty much does its job or it doesnt. That being said, when my last one died, I replaced it with a Swamps HV/HF IDM and it does have better throttle response and turns over with more intensity. Here's the link from when I had some issues that ended up being both the plug on the UVCH and the IDM failing at the same time. There are some good tests to run to isolate the IDM and make sure it is working correctly, but none of the issues generally related to the IDM make the truck feel like its flooding. Stumbling maybe, but not really flooding.
