what year models
I have a 92 bagged swb f150. I want to convert a york ac compressor into an air compressor and do away with the electric compressors. What year 4.9's came with the old upright york ac compressors? I don't know if it would bolt on with the stock belt bracketry on the truck now but I just want to try fitment. Also what side was the compressor mounted in those years?

Go to the junk yard and open hoods. The York compressors were used well into the 80's on trucks with dealer-installed a/c long after the factory air went to the smaller aluminum compressors. My '82 300 has dealer air with the York compressor.
