quick cruise control question
i still need to get my cruise control recall done. i had the first one done where they replaced, i believe an inline fuse wire. of course this turned out not to be a permenant fix. i have read a post somewhere on this forum that they just have to replace the switch on the master cylinder.
i called the ford dealer and was told it would take an hour to fix the problem, is this true or bs. hey i dont get out much, 2k a year on my van. local dealer 3 miles away went under 3 years ago. no time for games.

What's wrong with a hour to replace the switch? They are no different than the doctor's office in my eyes. Your vehicle has to be checked in, then you need to get in line, even though you did make an appointment, the mechanic has to finish up the job he was already doing and get the part and the tools ready to do your job, because the manager piles so many jobs together to get them in and out of the door.
If the mechanic is standing there with the switch in hand waiting for you to pull in, I would be surprised. Actual time to replace the switch, probably 10 minutes.
