We are pulling a 38 foot 5th wheel holiday trailer. Today the amber engine symbol came on, we are running a spartan tuner with the DPF removed and a straight pipe. Is there any way to reset this and what normally causes this symbol? Truck runs fine, it's a 09 F350 crew cab dually and trailer weight is about 14,000. Mileage is 37,350 miles. We did run into some ultra cold temps like -2 F today in Montana. Any help would be appreciated.
As an example I had my son put fuel in my truck last week. He didn't get the fuel cap on tight. I pulled out and within 100' the symbol came on. I did have a code (P2002). Put the cap on better and cleared the code.
So my guess is it self resolved. Code is probably in the history.
First week I had my Mini Maxx on and got on the throttle, my engine light came on. Scared the ***** out of me. Pulled over, shut the truck off, prayed, and I turned it back on to no CEL or codes. Been almost a year and haven't had one since.

We did another 350 miles pulling, no light so I am assuming all is okay. Evidently when we removed the winter front it disturbed something with the dpf sensors because of the high delta change in temperature. Looks like it reset and will be okay now.
Why are you not calling it a check engine light? since thats what it was... And did you have your dashdaq? becuase if you did, you should have tired to read the code when it was on.

I didn't realize these trucks were sensitive to that. I recently like an idiot filled up on the highway and drove 285 miles with my fuel door open and fuel cap dangling on the side of the truck the whole way, never got a light on... I did feel like a jerk when i realized it though since i always make fun of people who do that..
