Recent upgrades

Wow.

Finally got everything finished.

All I have to say is WOW. I don't even know what to say. Even on the stock setting this truck is wildly better then the factory stock. Unbelievable.

Tried 100hp race on the highway tonight and it pulled soooo hard from 55-80mph. I think it even slipped the tire or clutch. Not really sure. A ton of new "feelings" with the truck now. New sounds, just different.

I think the turbo flange is leaking to, because over 20 psi of boost it makes a very loud hissing noise from the front right. Trying to figure out a way to test it to see if it's leaking. I was gonna try and tape on thin plastic around the flange and see if it gets damaged with high boost.

Anyone know why the WTS light would go out in just a couple seconds? Before the mods it would stay on for the 30 seconds and then I'd start it. Now it seems to go off to fast and this morning it was blowing blue smoke out the exhaust until it warmed up. I have a feeling the glowplugs aren't staying on.

I would throw a test light on the GPR and verify that the GPR is actually turning off. If it isn't I guess I wouldn't worry about it as that light really doesn't do anything anyway. It is probably just a function of your PHP tunes, I am guessing. Either way I don't think that the WTS light really has any impact on he function of your GP's unless fir some reason the PCM is turning off the GPR.

Make sure to give us an update on your EGT's with that 1.0 housing once you get your boost leak figured out...

I will. Pulled a minivan to the scrap yard on a 18' beaver tail construction trailer the other day for my neighbor and it towed very nice. I could easily see the EGT getting to high if I were to really push the throttle down, but I just drove normal since I know I have a leak.

This leak sounds pretty good. Its the new flange I tried. I wish I could just get a thicker gasket like the factory one is. I'll bet if I could find the right O-ring I could fix her up nice.

Ya, I posted years ago "all this power and can't use it" and was told to take to 1.0 off. I loved it though, more boost at lower RPM's to get the 5er rolling bah, bah, bah! A little towing great, across country against 50mph head winds and mountain grades=NO!
