Power steering cooler

I change out my power steering gear box with a rebuilt one to put a hydro assit steering kit on the truck. I learned that in 97 the gear box took 2 different oil coolers one with a o ring seal and the other with flare fitting. Luckily I have a parts truck and it had the cooler with the fitting I needed

I've heard guys using the OEM auto trans cooler for a steering cooler. Are you putting on hydroboost brakes?

I already have the hydro boost brakes on it just adding the hydro assist steering to "try" and cure bumb steer

the only way you will correct bump steer is to get the drag link parallel with the trac bar. if you dont have a trac bar then you need to get it as parallel as you can to the axle.
