Nah it's only -23°C... I'm waiting for the -37°C cold front to come through.

'tis the season for awful fuel economy and plugging in the battery charger overnight.

(Now back to that question that no one answered... what happens when it's -30 and I have 100000.0km on the odometer?)

Or do you need to be out 4-wheeling through some powder to have problems?
It is possible that you may experience air filter snow packing just by running through a heavy snowfall. Ford has released a TSB on the issue...

Thanks

Why do these stock filters clog up? I don't know of any other vehicle that does this? I've been through some heavy snow before in SUV's and cars and never had a problem.

It's pretty disappointing....
Man walked on the moon 42 years ago and we can't build a truck that can drive in the snow. I have not had this issue with any other vehicle either going back to stuff that was built in the EARLY 70's!!

IMHO, the TSB is a JOKE. It in no way prevents the paper air filter from getting plugged with snow. All is does is provide a less dense bypass filter so that AFTER the paper filter is plugged the truck can suck some air through the bypass filter. GREAT "solution"!
