Took the Ex to the Stealer (warranty work - 2100 miles left!) rear brake mounting plates had rusted out & back up sensors inoperative.
Got it back this evening, pulled out and noticed that neither the horn or the cruise control was working and the clock time was off. Turned around went back and they grabbed a mechanic who was working late. A quick look and it turned out that the horn fuse was missing, not blown, missing. They replaced and the horn works but the cruise control is still inoperative.
Question: is there any reason why someone would be in the fuse panel or disconnect the battery for the above problems? Anyone else take their X in for service and have more wrong when it came out vs when it went in?
I hate when dealerships do that crap !......that's why they get a bad name.......I worked at a good dealership for 10yrs as a service tech.....my service manager would have went insane on the Tech who worked that repair order.
Or like when I wanted a dealer to look over our Ex before we decided to purchase it. One local dealer said they'd take about 3 hours while another said they'd do it in 1.
Went over this morning & met with the service manager. He offered some excuse about "the horn started going off for no reason" but had no answer for "So you just disconnected it and gave it back to me?". The took the X in the back and Lordy! It's a miracle! "There was nothing wrong with the cruise control, are you sure you used it correctly?" uh huh I think I figured it out after 75,000 miles.
sounds like someone set the alarm off, so they pulled the fuse to shut off the horn, which probably is connected to the CC, and forgot to put the fuse back in. I doubt they purposely sabotaged it, but they sound like a bunch of idiots anyway so I probably wouldnt take it back there.

That's what I gathered on the horn, but the CC doesn't run through the same fuse.
