Ford Excursion in Detroit Area

What are you looking for, as in:
Price range?
2 or 4 wheel drive?
Gas or Diesel?
XLT or Limited?
under a certain number of miles?
How far do you consider in the area?
There are so many different sites that offer used car searches its not even funny and amazingly enough there are usually a few that are unique to each one. The good deals typically do not last long though I would bet with some haggling you could get some of the businesses down off what they are asking.
My biggest problem as been the financing since i have a chap 7 discharge from March of this year and have had a few decent deals slip thru my fingers as I either couldnt get financed at all or at such an insane rate that real cost of the EX went up several thousand so....
Fill me in and I may have some help for you.

Well I will already have to drive 200 miles to detroit so not much farther but anywhere in northern mi or detroit area.

There is this V10 in Kalamazoo
2003 Ford Excursion - DEALS UNLIMITED INC PORTAGE, MI
I have not seen it in person but it looks decent and I know they have had it for sale for several months at that same price so you may be able to get a better price than what they have it listed for.
I was really mad last week there was an 04 limited v10 with 170k for 6990 in the UP that i just couldnt get financing for before they sold it. that had been listed at 9990 for a month or two before they dropped the price.

the interest rates are NOT great, and they don't seem to care much
if the vehicle is 10 or 12 years old.
But they don't typically care much about how old the vehicle is or what happens if you total it 2 months later and discover your insurance
company doesn't value the vehicle as much as the bank let you borrow,
and you need to pay $3k MORE
than what the insurance company gives to the bank.
My credit union offers higher rates for vehicles for vehicles of 7 years old.

You might try SearchTempest - The EASY way to search Craigslist as well - it is a utility that lets you search multiple Craigslist sites at once. I haven't used it in a while but it was pretty handy and the guy that built it was constantly making upgrades and improvements.

I would consider selling mine and I'm in SE Michigan. It has ~91k miles on it. That's 91,000 NOT 191,000 like most that you see. It is an 2001 and I am the original owner. 4x4 V10 Limited. Everything works as it should.
