6.0 cold start issues

in the mornings when its 50 or less my truck will always start when its cold but it will smoke ALOT when it starts. it is dark grey smoke. it still starts pretty quick but i dont think it used to do this. if i have the block heater plugged in it starts like normal with no smoke at all

anyone else have this prob? i know its not just the cold because it didnt do this last year

Not much to go on. FICM would normally be a hard start... Dark grey smoke could be fuel or oil. Have you scanned for possible codes?
