Cold engine...brief white smoke on start..

Cold engine...brief white smoke on start..
So when the truck is cold and I start it I get a puff a blue/white (oil?) smoke. But only when I start it when it is stone cold. It hasn't done this until the cold weather got here.
Normal? I think I read where someone else had this happen when they had their truck tuned (Innovative Diesel Extreme Street)
