Dumb question.... oil change

I know this is stupid but I gotta know.... Just to fill you guys in on what happened saturday.... I was racing my wife in my 140 tune and blew the HPOP line on the PS head, truck shut down putting me on the side of the road. I told my wife to go to work Ill be fine. I called a couple of friends of mine and they pulled me home. I bought the line put it on, drained the remaining oil out and changed it. When I changed the oil I ended up using 20 qts!? Does anyone have a reason for this? I thought these trucks only held 15qts.... Theres no leaks anywhere and the oil is between the lines on the dip stick......... Thoughts?

Four big jugs of oil? Haven't seen any handy 5 quart jugs yet, so that would be 16 quarts instead of 20. Just a thought.

Failing a mathematics issue, I don't have any good ideas (other than refilling the HPOP taking a couple quarts, which is still short of 20).
