Got some 80k mile X codes from the junkyard, finally got a local shop to put them on today with some new u bolts. Measures 39.5 inches to the wheel well opening in front and 40 in rear, so I am pretty level, which is what I wanted. I gained right at 2 inches in the front. These should help with the 300lb front bumper. No more bottoming out over speed bumps! Springs were $150, labor to install with new u bolts was $289, so $439 total, installed.
Please excuse the condition of my EX right now, its dirtier than its ever been since I have owned it!

Looks great - I love that bumper.
Have you done anything with the rear springs, or did you just do the x-codes on the front with the stocks on the rear?
The rear is just stock. I do a lot of towing so I want to put the RAS system in the rear. I hear that will raise it a little bit and then I think it will be just right.

Thanks for the info - I think my fronts are shot, and I'm thinking of doing the X-codes for the front and the RAS for the rear, but may need to wait a while to do the rears and didn't want the rake of the truck to be all FUBAR for a while until I could do the RAS.
Thanks, yeah the front-end is just a bit higher than the rear right now, not much, hardly noticeable. I hear that on the west coast, that is the look they are going for now, that prerunner look. I want to raise the rear end just a bit though, because when towing, it is more pronounced. However, with time, the front end will probably start to sag again so....who knows what I will end up doing.

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask - do you happen to have the part numbers for the U-bolts? I was able to find part numbers for the x-code springs, but haven't been able to find much about the u-bolts other than that they are not supposed to be re-used, and I doubt that the stock ones would fit anyways - they'd probably be too short.

Congrats on the springs, Ex looks great! It will be a while for them to start sagging since yours are broken in already. The ras will get you at least 3/4 inches on lowest setting.

yes, don't reuse old ones... They are torque to yield. Should only be used once.

I had trouble finding ubolts too, which is one of the reasons I took it to a shop to have it done, because they just made new ones. They were a heavy duty truck shop, that specialized in suspension on big rigs. I know that the springs on the Ex's are not square, and they arent round either, they are kind of inbetween if that makes sense.

Thanks livinlarge for that info, that is good to know!
